Camera Work Reflection

 CAMERA MOVEMENTS PROJECT

• Describe the learning process for camera work

- I learn camera movements by first recognizing them in films, then practicing them in my own work, and finally using them purposefully to create meaning in my productions.

• What you had to do for the project and describe the experience

- For this project I was required to create my own story board with a partner with 15 different sections depicting 15 different shots and angles focusing on one subject. I then took this and replicated the photos taking them all myself. Afterwards my knowledge is further assessed when adding them to a PowerPoint that stated the type of shot and how it helped tell the story of my subject. The experience was very intriguing.  

• Describe any challenges or successes you had doing the project

- I had challenges trying to get the correct focus for certain shot.

• Describe what you learned throughout the process of completing the project

- I learned how intricate and fascinating the camera is positioned to affect the audience. 

• What you would do differently next time for the project

-Next time if the directions for the project were different, I would hope to do this analyzation on a human subject instead

• Describe the learning process for camera work

-I develop my understanding of camera movements by studying how they are used in professional media, experimenting with them in practice tasks, and then applying them creatively to enhance storytelling in my projects.

• What you had to do for each project and describe the experience

-For this project, I and 3 other classmates created a horror themed clips together utilizing different camera movements following me and a classmate through the shots to ultimately tell a story. Similarly, our knowledge is also retuned using a PowerPoint describing how each movement. 

• Describe any challenges or successes you had doing the project

- No difficulties were had, fully understanding was present for this project.

• Describe what you learned throughout the process of completing the project

-Through this process I learned the meaning behind how the camera follows subjects in films.

• What you would do differently next time for the projects

- Create a more professional looking film, a bit more official looking
